12 Delightful Homemade Pancakes

So, last Sunday I was gorging on a choco-chip pancake, and a thought came to my mind: Feed a man a pancake, you make him happy once; teach the man how to make a pancake, you make him happy forever. There are not many fads in the world that never go out of style and are universally accepted. Love is one of them. And so are homemade pancakes. It doesn’t take much to imagine the aroma of a delightful heap of freshly made pancakes. That enticing smell of yummy, hot homemade pancakes, slathered in sweet, sticky syrup and tossed in butter, just waiting to be devoured. As soon as this fluffy hot piece of heaven covered in moderately cold syrup enters the mouth and touches the taste buds, there is a rush of euphoria and irreplaceable comfort.

Every pancake has same basic ingredients and process of preparation. With the following 3 steps you can prepare any kind of pancake:

  1. In a bowl, mix 1 and a 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 3 Teaspoons baking powder, pinchful of nutmeg, 1 Teaspoon salt and [additional ingredients 1 (Honey/Sugar/Jaggery Powder approximately 1 Tbsp)]. Stir until properly blended. In another bowl, beat 1 egg, 3 tablespoons of melted butter and [additional ingredients 2 ( Milk/Buttermilk/Yogurt approximately 1-1/4 cup)]. Blend it thoroughly. Pour the mix from the second bowl into the first bowl, and best until no lumps are present.
  2. Once the surface of the pan is hot enough, you’re ready to start cooking your pancakes. You may lightly oil the cooking surface (Oiling non-stick griddle and my pancakes turned out great).
  3. Take a scoop the batter and spread it onto a warm pan. Cook for 3 minutes on medium flame . Flip the pancake and cook the other side for 2 minutes until lightly golden brown.
