12 Most Loved Music Bands of all Time

I was listening to “Sucker” by Jonas Brothers the other day and ended up reading about how they teamed up after years and reignited magic by once again producing music together. If you think about it, isn’t it insane how a group of people with varying talents cross paths (Jonases luckily turned out to be brothers) and end up creating the most path-breaking music of all times.
Time and again, there have been bands that have given us some awesome tunes to hum and to feel better at moments of anguish, but the 12 music bands on this list are divine. After much consideration, here’s a list of all the greatest music bands that have ever existed and created extraordinary music that has been loved by generations. Theirs’ is not just music, but a revolution.

1. The Beatles

Members: John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr.

About Beatles: The Beatles came into being in 1960 at Liverpool. They kept the early pop and rock ‘n’ roll music alive. Each member of The Beatles had his unique personality which was reflected through their singing.

Why we love them:Welcome to Music 2.0. No music was like theirs until the day they came and unlocked the gateways to new and modern music, which won the minds and hearts of millions. Although the Beatles are not the favorite band of mine, I cannot deny that this band is Legendary! Looking at the band feels like four friends are chilling and having a good time while creating all that music.

 2. Led Zeppelin

Members: Jimmy Page (guitarist), John Bonham (drummer), Paul Jones (bassist), and Robert Plant (singer).

About Led Zeppelin: An English band which came into being in 1968 in London. The rock band consisted of a singer, guitarist, drummer and bassist/keyboardist. Their style was drawn from a variety of music genres such as folk music, psychedelia, and blues.

Why we love them: Led Zeppelin is not just about glamour but the force, mystery, power and that unknown element which you are unaware of until you listen to their songs yourself. The influence of Led Zeppelin on heavy metal is one of the reasons I love them, they are one of the first heavy metal bands. Nevertheless, they were not stuck in one genre of music, they performed in varied styles .

3. Queen

Members: Brian May (guitarist/vocalist), Roger Taylor (drummer/vocalist), John Deacon (guitarist) and Freddie Mercury (vocalist).

About Queen: A rock British band that was formed in 1970 in London. Their works were an effect of hard rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal.

Why we love them: In my opinion, Queen is the most wonderful band because of their magnificent lyrics. Apart from the exceptional talent of each of the member at playing the instruments, I am stunned by the lyrics of their songs. Killer Queen and Hammer to fall are my favorites.

4. Rolling Stones

Members: Mick Jagger (vocalist/keyboardist), Charles Watts (drummer), Keith Richards (guitarist/bassist), and Ronnie Wood (guitarist).

About Rolling Stones: A rock English band created in 1962 in London. The achievements of The Rolling Stones are massive; they have made around 29 albums in the studio, live 13 albums, compilation 24 albums and singles over 109 in their career since above 50 years.

Why we love them: No band since the past 50 years has achieved as much as The Rolling Stones has as they have a unique kind of commercial and artistic bent in their music. The crazy thing about them is their intensity of passion for rock and roll music and their unbounded talent at the same.

 5. The Who

Members: Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon, and John Entwistle.

About The Who: A rock English band created in 1964 in London. The band developed from an early stage and established their position in the mod movements and pop art that features destroying drums and guitars, destructive art etc.

Why we love them: The meaning of life described in the albums of this band is still being discovered and understood after decades. The most amazing things about their music is that it is grand, accessible and impactful.

 6. Pink Floyd

About Pink Floyd: A rock English band created in 1965 in London. Pink Floyd attained international acclaim through their psychedelic and progressive music.

Why we love them: Pink Floyd’s music is undeniably intoxicating and can easily influence you.  Their music, melodies, lyrics, solos all makes a  lot of sense. Their songs works like medicines for people who listen to their music.

 7. Aerosmith

About Aerosmith: A rock American band with amazing hard rock based on blues with the elements of heavy metal, pop rock, and rhythm is what they are famous for.

Why we love them: As a rock lover you would admit that Aerosmith is one of the best bands out there. Either it is their melody, lyrics or heavy metal, they are the best in every segment.

 8. Nirvana

Members: Kurt Cobain (guitarist), Krist Novoselic (bassist) and Dave Grohi (drummer).

About Nirvana: A rock American band that was formed in 1987 in Washington. Nirvana’s music maintained a popular continuation of roll culture and modern rock.

Why we love them: Legendary vocals, revolutionary lyrics, and magnificent songwriting were the charms of Nirvana. If occupants of heavens ever decide to have a band, Nirvana could be on the top spot.

9. Eagles

About Eagles: A rock American band created in 1972 in Los Angeles. Eagles are included in one of the history’s best-selling bands.

Why we love them: To me, Eagles have been a great band, the backgrounds, drum work, lyrics, vocals, every little detail is just marvelous.

 10. AC/DC

Members: Malcolm, Angus Young, Chris Slade, Stevie Young, and Axl Rose are the current members.

About AC/DC: A rock Australian band created in 1973 at Sydney by brothers Angus Young and Malcom. The band said that they are rock and roll type of band. The band went under several changes of the line-up before releasing their official first album.

Why we love them: They have lots of incredible hits which makes it hard to strike the band out of the top bands list. Their kick-ass intros and music make them unique. Some of their songs strike the right chord

 11. Coldplay

About Coldplay:  A British rock band formed in London in 1996. After emerging in 2000 with the breakthrough single “Yellow,” Coldplay swiftly became one of the biggest bands of the early 21st century.

Why we love them: Amidst the exuberance of rock and heavy metal, shines the soulful pop and alternative rock of Coldplay. There is magic and beauty in their music. I am literally thanking God for making these guys cross paths.

 12. Metallica

Members: James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, and Robert Trujillo are the existing members.

About Metallica: An American band of heavy metal which came in being in 1981 in Los Angeles. This band was famous for its fast and aggressive instrumental and tempos. Metallica was able to earn a good fan base in the community of underground music and with its five albums won the critical acclaim.

Why we love them: The reason I love Metallica is that no matter how old their songs are they never feel rusted. They are the greatest hard heavy metal band in the history of mankind.
